Christmas is a season of giving and receiving gifts. You’ll probably give and you’ll probably receive gifts, whether they be cookies from a neighbor or _____ (fill in the blank.) It makes me think of this. Acts 20:35, ‘I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Isn’t it so fun to give gifts? I love watching loved ones faces light up when you give them the gift that they really wanted…. It’s just a really fun way to say, ‘I love you.’
This might be a struggle for some of you, like it is for me, so I thought I would share these thoughts and things the Lord has been teaching me during this season of Christmas and reading about the life of Jesus Christ in Luke… I’m thankful to be able to link with Lori and all the other sisters for this delightful Monday. <3 And I’m also linking up with Meg because this has been the thought that I’ve been reviewing over and over this past week; if this doesn’t count as a Week In Review, please tell me, cause I don’t want to break the rules! 🙂
But this also makes me think. I’m not always very good at receiving gifts; as in I feel like I ‘should’ give something back instead of WANTING to give something back, because I have been so loved and so blessed beyond measure.
