I was honestly kind of ‘leery’ about these bars, BUT I wanted to give them a try. And now, I am going to share with you why YOU should try hemp heart bars. I’m not a huge fan of hemp hearts, but I couldn’t pass up this opportunity from Fit Approach.
Proverbs 16:9, ‘A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.’
I received the bars in the mail about a week ago. One of them quickly became a good, satisfying midnight snack, as I recapped in this post!
I actually really liked these bars, even though they aren’t as sweet as many of the protein bars that I’m used to, but I think that’s part of why I liked them.
God is a MARVELOUS Creator to have made so many different types of foods and ways to eat protein. He enabled vegans to have different sources of ‘non-animal proteins.’ He enabled meat eaters to have different kinds of meat and different ways to cook them, and I’m so thankful for God’s mercy and provision in every way.
How would I rate these bars?
Taste and Texture: They were still sweet but not overpowering. The hemp seeds give them an extra crunch. They are dense but not hard to chew. Overall, I was a BIG fan of the taste. The Apple Cinnamon bar was by far, my favorite. 🙂
Satiety Factor: They definitely satisfy you, almost right away. The nutrition stats on them are here from the Sweat Pink website!
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Heart bars are crafted with the goodness of hemp and other tasty ingredients too. They’ve whipped up three different delicious flavours to choose from: vanilla, chocolate and apple cinnamon. Each 45 gram bar contains 10 grams of plant-based protein and 10 grams of omegas, so whether you grab one for a pre-workout snack or nutrition on the go, these convenient bars are sure to get you through even your busiest day!
You get gobs of healthy fat and protein in the bar, and that definitely is a win-win for me (from a personal standpoint.) It satisfies your hunger, takes the edge off the sweet tooth, and it was easily digestible for me. *I ate it right before going to bed, and I didn’t have any stomach-ache.*

This psalm was part of our Bible Study this week, ‘Behold Your God,’ and it has really been causing me to think about a lot of things in a hard, convicting way. I’m thankful that God’s Word is a two-edged sword, and that it truly never returns void. He is a powerful mighty God Almighty!
Psalm 84: How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.’
