My heart is really full tonight with laughter and tears. I promise that tomorrow’s post will be a bit on the lighter side, but I want to keep it real, honest, and truthful with you. Today I’m thankful for those times when you learn to laugh and cry.
Why am I thankful for laughing and crying today?
I wanted to share these verses from Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, ‘To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;’ There is a time for everything. There will be grief in a world where there is sickness, death, and pain, but that is not the end. When I grieve it doesn’t mean that I’m hopeless, but that it hurts to see death, pain, and sickness because they are a result of sin.
Yet I can smile through the tears and hope through the pain, because Jesus says, ‘Come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.’
