Crispy gingerbread and chocolate? Who knew it could go together? But before we get into the holiday deliciousness that is part of this cookie round-up I am doing with the Bloggers Gonna Blog gals, we need to talk about something important.
I’ve been really selfish, and that’s not a good thing.
Philippians 2:6-9 hit me really hard on the run tonight; I was just thinking and running, and I realized. I’m not acting like a servant of Jesus would act.
‘who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,’ (Philippians 2:6-9)
Lest this sound really vague, I’ll get really specific here. It’s about Instagram.
I love Instagram, but sometimes I stress myself out by getting on it. I tell myself, ‘You need to comment on everyone’s posts…’ Then I start to tear my hair out because I can’t possibly do it all, and then…
Well. I was following a bunch of people that I really loved to follow. I considered them friends, blessings, and people who shared wonderful content.
All of a sudden one day, I though, ‘Well they aren’t really following me or commenting on my posts.’ So I unfollowed them.
