Happy Thankful Tuesday friends! 🙂 I can’t believe it’s Tuesday, and that means my road trip is TOMORROW. But first, I want to dump a load of PRECIOUS memories from last week, because I’m so thankful for every one of them.
Last week was exhausting, to say the least. Cooking 500+ meals with some of the sweetest sisters in Christ is amazing and challenging. But we made memories. Today I’m thankful for the many faces of memories, whether sad, joyful, happy, crazy, or just plain tired.
Sweet memories that I won’t soon forget!
I am THANKFUL for all of these girls. They kept me smiling even when my spirit was majorly dragging. They reminded me to enjoy the ice cream, cherish the laughter, slow down and savor the Word of God, remember to give glory to Him, and make memories that were Christ centered and JOYFUL!
Remembering to cherish memories and to live in each moment that God gives me is one of the the things I missed over so many years of struggling with eating and idolizing my body and my food. I couldn’t possibly enjoy a cookie or a piece of cake, because I was too busy thinking about the calories it contained. I couldn’t take a piece of cookie dough, because that meant ‘extra’ calories. Christmas baking was hard, because all I could think about was the FOOD, and it drove me crazy.
I am truly thanking God that He redeems those years. His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in my weakness. He has opened my eyes and changed me to see just how precious each one of these memories is, made with some of my best friends and sisters in the Lord.
Cherish the Memories. Don’t let them slide by you. Slow down. Thank God for each breath, because each one truly is a gift from Him!
