Let’s talk foodie finds; those kind of finds that get me as excited as a fashion blogger over new clothes. I had a lot of fun last week when I went to Sprouts; let’s confess that I really was raring to go on going to find some yummy new products especially after seeing a few of them on the ‘gram.’ And let me tell you that none of them disappointed. Lately, I’ve been trying lots of different foods, and it’s always fun for me to see others share new foods. I thought I would share a few of mine.
Erin would be the inspiration for this with her ‘Five Friday Favorites.’
Smari Organics Yogurt – Icelandic Yogurt is like dessert, but I don’t just eat it for dessert. Seriously, y’all the creaminess of this yogurt is hard to match. It didn’t have a ton of sugar, but it’s just the right sweetness.
Lindsay’s Chocolate Breakfast Cookies – These cookies can be eaten for dessert, snack, breakfast, lunch, ____. They have a slight banana flavor along with the crunch of chocolate chips and nuts. Of course, they taste amazing with nut butter!
Bhappy Count Your Blessings Peanut Butter – Seriously this will always be one of my favorites. It really mixes well with creamy almond butter like Barney Butter or Earth Balance or Crazy Richards or Naturally Nutty or Peanut Butter&CO or Wild Friends.
Is it bad that I know about so many different nut butters?
Elli Quark Cheese (Say what?!?) – It tastes like yogurt, but it’s actually cheese. I can say that it’s honestly really really good and super creamy!!! It’s a bit sweeter than Siggi’s (which is my absolute favorite), but it’s still really good.
Speaking of Siggis: (I’ve seen people post ‘Spiced Pear Siggi’s’ on Instagram) – I would love to find that flavor, but the more MILK fat you put in something the better it tastes….
Thankfully the gram reminds me to keep supporting Siggi’s because they are SO SO good. I can’t even describe it.
Lily’s Chocolates! – It’s hard to believe that Lily’s are only sweetened with stevia, because they have none of the after taste that you normally get if you just put stevia in a drink. It tastes like regular chocolate to me, and it’s so neat knowing that those who can’t have a lot of sugar can eat it + rest easy knowing that it is Fair Trade.
And that is all for now….
I’d love to hear of new ‘Foodie Finds’ that you’ve discovered lately. I’m always looking for new favorites.
And a verse that I’ve been thinking about and encouraged by this week.
‘And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.’ (Daniel 2:44)
The Most Favorite Foodie Experience: Finishing off an ice cream container always gives me a sense of satisfaction. Is that weird? I put half a sugar cookie, some almond butter, and whipped cream in this to finish it off last night.
Perfect Sunday night cap….
