(One of the best gluten free treats I’ve had from Kat)
First of all I’m not officially ‘gluten free’ but I am on the trail to try to find some of the best gluten free treats out there specifically for my dad and friends that are gluten free. I feel beyond blessed that God has mercifully brought so many gluten free bloggers into my path who have done a lot of trial and error recipes, and they have HONED these gluten free treats to a T.
You’re going to look at these and have a hard time believing that they are gluten free, but they ALL are. I asked the gals to share their BESTEST gluten free recipes that don’t taste ‘gluten free’ and these girls delivered big time.
You’ll have everything from:
Muffins to Scones to Cookies to Cakes… for this delicious ‘holiday treats’ round-up. And if you’re gluten free or have a family member who is gluten free they won’t need to miss out on any of the festivities. I’m feeling treated just sharing all these ‘treats’ with you. Ok, that was a bit lame, but that’s all I could think of; so without further delay or words, let’s get into those treats, shall we?
You could start with this ‘Roasted Strawberry Cake‘ from Athletic Avocado.
Or you could munch on one of Ellen’s Paleo Double Chocolate Chip Cookies.
If you want simple, go for Emily’s ‘Mason Jar Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin.’
Light and fluffy? You’ve got it in Kaila’s Vanilla Zucchini Cake.
Don’t want to dirty more than one bowl with your gluten free goodies? Try Sunne’s One Bowl Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
You do not have to miss out on your protein while eating your carbs with Ellie’s German Chocolate Cake Scones.
Peanut Butter and Jelly fan like me? Aya has you covered with her ‘Peanut Butter and Raspberry Cookies.’
Can you say ‘drool-worthy’ to Becca’s Dark Chocolate Walnut Doughnuts?
Some soft delicious looking chocolate chip oatmeal scones? Kerri has these right here in so many delicious bites.
Laura will have you almost licking your screen with her ‘Fudgy Paleo Brownies.’ (I’ve tried this one, and it is SO GOOD!)
And you can NOT have a ‘goodie’ round-up complete without a DELICIOUS looking banana bread recipe from Side of Sneakers.
I still have pumpkin in my freezer, so I hope to come back (if the Lord wills) and make these fluffy looking ‘Pumpkin Doughnuts‘
Finally, last but NOT least, I think I’m going to make these ‘Lemon Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins’ because we have all the ingredients… I’m not sure mine will look nearly as beautiful as Katie’s!
Who is in the mood for some holiday treats now?
This was short post, but I’m going to leave you with some verses that have been really searching me out today and making me ask, ‘Am I depending on myself or do I realize that everything I am is only because of God’s mercy?’
‘But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.’ (Ezekiel 36:21-23)
I am so thankful for God’s pity despite me and my sinful, vile heart. He has made me clean.
